OMG — I’ve never made a gift guide before, unless you count the regurgitated press releases I used to publish as “gift guides” during my fashion magazine internship in college. This is my first chance to be quite real about what I want and why, and maybe it will inspire gifts you give, or ask for, this holiday season! Along with my greatest material desires, I’ve rounded up some asks from New York’s chicest to better diversify this list. No paywalls, no affiliate links, no commissions, no influencing, only what the cool kids are wishing for, and exactly what we want.

What Ella Snyder wants this Christmas:

1. A Dyson vacuum of any kind. I had one at my last apartment and it changed my life. I actually think I enjoyed vacuuming? Alas, it was my ex-roommate’s, so he kept it in the move. I think they’re majorly on sale right now?

2. I’m seeking walking shoes for my new, New York lifestyle. This means that they have to look cool and elevate any outfit, but also be functional to walk in 10 miles a day. I’m looking at Salomon Speedcross sneakers, G.H. Bass loafers, and the classic Ugg boot.

3. As my hair grows, I’m starting to enjoy a statement scrunchie… particularly these by Maryam Nassir Zadeh.

4. I’m convinced that a pair of Fidan Novruzova boots would elevate my street cred; I don’t think any of my loved ones are ready to treat me to a pair just yet, though.

5. For the stoner in your life, you could also get them what I want: the Puffco Peak Pro vaporizer. As a certified stoner barbie, I’ve been getting worried about my lungs lately and this is supposedly the safest way to smoke. (I know… the safest way is to not to. Don’t judge.)

6. I’ve never been gifted a pajama set before, and this year I’d like to change that. I’m asking for this cheetah cotton number.

Allie Kenvin, owner of Semi Divine Books, is asking for:

1. Her favorite Matcha powder from Rocky’s matcha;

Fine artist and painter, Dylan Rose Rheingold is seeking obscure finds:

Fashion publicist Sabrina Chung wants things for her home and her closet:

Fashion publicist Alexa Dietz however, is focused solely on elevating her wardrobe. She’s asking for:

3. A courreges or Jil Sander black calfskin baseball cap

   

Producer to the stars, Morgan Siskind wants:

HypeBeast’s Art Director, Kevin Chen is looking to receive:

1. Saint Laurent Malibu Leather Lace Up Sneakers;

Omar Apollo’s Stylist and Cosmopolitan Magazine fashion director Brandon Tan wants you to gift him:

Photographer Olivia Parker is seeking some peace, and she would love:

Beauty maven Tyra Booker is asking for Supreme clogs, Tekla sheets, and is the second person on this list hoping for some Rocky’s Matcha under her tree.
